Below is an email I sent to them (with sensitive info blanked out):
This is a MAJOR COMPLAINT I HAVE!

A year or two ago, (unsure how long) my son accidentally (well without my
knowledge)signed up for your web hosting offer, which I found out about
and CANCELED straight away (within hours), explaining the situation. I was
told it would be ok, and that I would not receive any bills etc.

Last year I received a bill for this hosting, to which I wrote an email
about stating that I was not in the least bit happy that I had been charged
for it, because A) I had canceled it, and B) I had not used it. I received
correspondence asking for dates etc, which I could not give, as I no
longer had that data saved. I got no refund, and thought no more of it.
Today,- I received my credit card statement with low and behold: DELLZ
COM (865-5773400) for AU$51.67 (reference # 24773003048120481030244).
THIS IS NOT ON! If you wish to know the account number, it is xxxx xxxx xxxx xxxx, billed on the 19th of Feb.

I am sending this email to _ASK_ you to A) Remove my account which I
canceled hours after its creation, and B) Provide a refund for at least
this year, if not the one before too! (the credit card bill has been payed,
so cancellation of the billing is not possible)

All emails I sent you before would be from mac@maccalder.zzn.com or
sandec@sanctuary-deception.zzn.com.

Hosting was good until I tried to cancel my account in September. Now my site is not hosted, but they continue to charge my credit card. I've launched a fraud investigation with the credit card company as I cannot get a hold of anyone at dellz. The charges have been ongoing since September.

Can anyone help?

I've tried all day to access their website with no response. These would be the last people I choose to host a website with!

Typical for a high-growth new tech company.  Problems encountered when email server changed -- lost mail and had to reset everything.  Otherwise, no complaints.

I have had a few tech support issues in the past (2-3 in 5 months), and the answers were sparse, that's true. Otherwise I'm happy with the service. My uptime has been good and no problems w/ email or ftp. Administration of the site is easy w/ Plesk control panel. I'd recommend them. My only criticism would be of the webmail - features are lacking (save copy of sent mail, drafts, etc.).

no tape back ups.
loses data with no understanding of why.
moves data without warning.
can't upgrade servers without crashing them.

I hosted my website through another Dellz reseller. I got to know they used Dellz after some research, I am sure they are also disappointed with Dellz. My websites got offline for no apparent reason, no warning was given, till now I still don't know what happen??

Don't take Dellz' word, don't even consider them!

They where great, the site was up in record time, less than 24hrs - only issue - it pointed to someone elses site, which took amost a week to fix, (you are a user attitude coming through on their responses - their DNS issue.

It only happened a couple of more times before it was finally resolved.

My site went down a couple of times then they lost there backup and main server. (Down for about 3 days - but at least they kept me informed about what was happening and a time frame to look at)

The last time the site has been up and down for 3 weeks (This was their upgrade to Plesk 2.5 which was only supposed to take a couple of hours). The did not send out any information about times that the site may off line, make sure you have a backup as it will be lost, changing passwords in mid-stream, just a cluster f**k from the start.
They say the site is up - you start your FTP upload and it takes 3 hours to upload 7meg ... (Hmmm something wrong here).

They have a trouble ticket systethat response is usually faily quick, 2-3hrs, but the answers are a little sparse at times, such as look at this FAQ which brings up more questions.

Enough rambling - DO NOT RECOMEND

(Will be seeing about crdit or refund shortly as have moved site to new host)

This host has taken my site off line a number of times without any warning. Now my plan has expired with warning.  Also there is no phone support and they have never replied to my email. The phone number registered with “network solutions” for Dellz.com is no longer valid. Be VERY cautious with this host unless you like getting spit out like gum!
Stay Away!

Dellz.com representative's response:

Nobody has contacted us regarding this issue and if it were addressed to us properly, we would have rectified your problem immediately. Also posting anonymously greatly reduces your credibility so if you are really having a problem, please go to the source because nobody here can fix any troubles you are having.

The fact that we search these things and take time to post shows that we go out of our way for customer service because it is very important to us.
