Featureprice *used* to be fantastic. Great service, great support, four domains, great deal.

I think they changed ownership or something. Now they are forcing customers to move to a new server setup, giving poor directions on the transfer, and tech support has gone from 24/7 live phone support to "send us an email and we might get back to you next week". Unless you PAY $25 for 1 hour response. My sites have been offline for 10 days now waiting for help transfering to thier new system. half my domains don't even show up in thier new control panel, and I *cannot* get anyone there to answer email, their live chat, or phones, unless I pay extra for it.

support is now *beyond* abysimal.

I was forced to switch to their new system, when they ran out of disk space in my original account.  They switched me over without any warning, didn't move anything at all over, instead erased everything and all settings.  Changed the password to my control panel, so I couldn't log in to make changes.  I have tried contacting them, but nobody will speak to me, their live chat interface times out (30 mins) every time.  They only allow you one email, and don't answer questions.  This could not have been handled in a worse manner than they have so far!!

All I can say is I own 6 websites. All went down for 5 days. Spent a total of 11 hours on the phone waiting for tech support to no avail.
Emails were not returned for a week.
Take a look at their offer. Unlimited storage and bandwidth. Seem good to be true? It is.
Currently in a lawsuit for damages with this company.
Stay clear or your screwed!

This company takes your money but then never responds to email requests for support (like adding services you have piad for).

All our requests for subdomains to be added have received replies telling us that we can only have one email support ticket per day (we've emailed them three times in two months -so i find this offensive) and then any reply to our request that we do get is incomperhensible or tells us to email someone else.

Services that were on the web control panel when we signed up have vanished and they seem to be saying that we now need to pay more to get these services that we thought we had paid for.

Since switching over to new support software in in the new year, FeaturePrice support and technical services have been a disaster. The email and dialup tech support (even sales support)gets cutoff on a regular basis, help tickets simply don't get answered.  And its high ratings at http://www.10-best-web-site-and-domain-hosting-services.com/
are a scam - done not "independently but through a website owned by Feature Price's German subsidiary president. As for collecting on "ironclad" 30 day moneyback guarantee - wish me luck. Be very careful about signing up with these guys - the prices are very competitive. But maybe too much so, if they simply cannot adequately support their customers.

Poor tech support, would not respond.  Web server never did work.  Control Panel confusing and did not sync with operating manual.  Operating Manual was very long and confusing.

I've been relatively happy with Featureprice for the past year and a half, however, the past three monthes have totally changed my opinion.

Within the last three months, I've experienced an average down time of one day per week. Featureprice tells me that this is due to another client who's website is on the same physical server as mine uploading bad scripts. On average, the time it takes to resume normal operations is 10-24 hours. I've sent them helpdesk tickets, and this always sped up the repair process, however, they removed their helpdesk and replaced it with "Email Tickets" - which is really handy since when my site is down, my email is down too. Out of the six tickets I've sent this way so far, none - that's right NONE of them have been answered.

They have discontinued telephone support - because you have to have a reply to a ticket before you are allowed to talk to someone - so in essence, they've stopped providing telephone support.

The plan gives me 5GB storage and unlimited email accounts for only $200 or so a year - that is the ONLY reason that you might consider Featureprice.

If I had a choice - I'd never have contracted with them.

Claims 99.9% uptime, but after several days downtime in 10/02, 11/02 (by the way, who considers a broken router an "Act of God"?), 1/03 and continued e-mail outages, it slowly gets worse.  Virtually no tech support (phone was out of order or not answered from 11/02 to 1/03 on many attempts), and now the host provides only ONE tech support response per day, thereby changing their own terms of service.  How's that for bait-and-switch? Has been a bad experience.  I'm shopping, likely to switch, they certainly don't care much for customers...just their money.

I wanted to simply switch a site to a different price plan and it resulted in being down for a week in spite of numerous calls, emails, help desk entries, ets.  Now it has been a month that I have attempted to simply add a domain in an existing multi-domain package.  It has been impossible to get a human on the phone for three weeks, with more than 20 calls.  Email responses just repeat the same message about forwarding the issue to someone else, but nothing gets done.  Now one of my sites and my main email just went down for no reason.

Do not ever use them!!!

1) My website didn't work for a week and their phone support would hang up on me (I didn't even reach tech). They responded 4 days later with an e-mail. Chat room makes you wait for 1 hour and then it throws you out.
2) Very unreliable up time.

This hosting company offered the best array of services for the money spent of any I had ever come across. I even recommended that a client of mine host their website there.
Now, I can never get a person on the phone when there is trouble with the server -- they only take calls from people with trouble ticket numbers; they have TURNED OFF their tech support ticket system and replaced it with an email system; they guarantee resolutions within 120 hours. That's right: 120 HOURS!!
I have a Premium plan (the second highest in their tiers) and this is the treatment I get. I'm switching.

This company claims to be the best.  Service if you can get a hold of them is very poor.  Say's they can do muliple domains, but can't handle it.  If they don't want to talk to you, they just hang up on you! STAY AWAY!!!!

This host has absolutely no customer service whatsoever. Everything you ask them to do (even the smallest of tasks) leads you to another loophole.

I had my site down for months and they were still charging me! I had written to billing, sales, etc and with no response!

Maybe its just me, but if I am paying for a service, I expect to GET that service.

I would avoid this place at all costs.

Tech support was incredibly bad from FeaturePrice.com. Promising a response from a help ticket within 2 hours, with a maximum of 12-24 hours, I routinely had to wait /days/ for an answer. And answers were always inadequate and incomplete, if they answered anything at all. Repeated requests for assistance in setting up forums were thwarted every step of the way. If a ticket had more than one question, they would /never/ answer more than one. Phone calls resulted in more promises of support, but none were realized. A final phone call and plea for help was met with a rude woman who refused to let me talk to her superior.

When they had a board failure in the network backbone, they claimed it was due to an "Act of God" and not covered by their uptime guarantee. (I wouldn't have thought God would have gotten involved at this leve. ;-)

When I canceled my service within the 30 day money-back guarantee period, they refused to refund my money, over $225.

I then took my site then to Lunarpages.com, and with the same requests asked of them as I had from FeaturePrice.com, Lunarpages had all my problems solved and everything working in less than 12 hours. An expensive lesson for me. Maybe you can prevent having to learn the same one.

They will not let you speak to a real person when you have a billing problem.  They insist that you use e-mail and are very slow aboutgetting back to you, even when the problem is urgent.
They mislead you on thier site.  We needed MySQL and it appeared that they had it.  After paying we realized that they only had it for the Premium Plan.  We asked for a partial upgrade or a refund since we needed MySQL but couldn't afford the Premium Plan.  They refused and wouldn't even explain why.  Some of thier employees were a bit rude to us.

They gave very vague answers to our specific questions.

Their 30 day money back guarantee is a scam!!!! In the fine print they say it is only for technival reeasons, but even then they don't have to give your money back.

Do not use Feature Price unless you like being ripped off and enjoy poor customer service.

Promise of 99.9 uptime, 30 day MB guarantee. Total failure in uptime gurantee (about 76%). Total refusal to explain repeated outages and resulting slow load time of my website after these outages. Tech support blames site files which was researched thoroughly by my developer. Not software, it was a server problem. Customer and Tech service was very courteous, but without any substance.

Upon submission of my claim of money back guarantee, they refused, saying that a load time of over 2 minutes was acceptable, and that they were not a "download for high speed files" host (I had a basic auction website scripted in publically available cgi scripts).
They kept my $85.00 for under 1 month of substandard service.

Research after the fact indicates a "Pattern of complaints" and a "Negative Rating" for failure to resolve or answer complaints through the FL. BBB.  STAY AWAY...

Web-Mail access was down for 5 days and they say "We know about the problem so don't even bother contacting tech support"

There are too many other good hosting companies out there to waste your time with these chiselers

They would not stick by their 30 day guarantee.  They have a nice set of features, but the control panel and UI they give you to manage your account with are very poor.  And their customer service is slow at times.
