Please if you have any legitimate business that regularly depends on your website being up and running and email communication, then DO NOT sign up with this company. I was tempted by the low price and features. But after only a month, my website was down for 2 days, and now my email account has not received email for six days. I have called, emailed and filled out numerous help tickets on both occasions and have NEVER had someone respond. NEVER! Trust me, pay a bit more and don't deal with this nightmare.

First of all, they moved their corporate head office to Costa Rica. If you dont hear warning bells right now, listen on. They dont send you a welcome email.......EVER....and you're powerless because the 24 hour customer support is a sham! They wont respond. There's 1 monkey running this business and once he has your money his job is done! To make matters worse, the monkey doesnt respond to requests to transfer your domain to a reputable host. Not only will this monkey steal your money, but he holds your website hostage! After this experience, I would be concerned about my credit card information. Even a monkey recognizes VISA.

When I first registered I never received a welcome email.... however, i DID receive 4 welcome emails for SOMEONE ELSE!! All of you who are saying you entered a wrong email address... probably not so! The person whose emails I received never received them from the company. I never received mine.

In addition, the site never went up. Only the directory structure would display on the browser, and despite SEVERAL emails, help tickets and phone calls, I got absolutely NO resonse.

I paid with PayPal and finally submitted a Buyer's Complaint through PayPal. That got their attention (actually, it kind of pissed them off), and they immediately fixed my site... but they said it was MY fault for deleting crucial files! I never touched the darn thing, and I never got the welcome email which they claim they sent me!!

DO NOT HOST WITH THESE PEOPLE!!

I have switched to http://www.1sthostweb.com who offer an almost identical offer (great deal if it works), and their support is great! Response time for me so far has been under 2 hours, with absolutely no problems yet.

he company freehostingweb.com offers freehosting on their server if you pay $49 to have your domain registered or transfered. We payed via PayPal to The DNS was never resolved so our domain name suffered almost 1 months downtime. We tried to resolve the matter with Mr. Beavers but he did very little to do so. Numerous e-mails and phone calls were made, resulting in one call from a man named Bill who assured us that this happens to 1 in 500 people and that they were going to move us to another server and he would call the next day. He never did. When we started demanding service or our money back, all our access to our files were cut off! We have learned that other parties have also had similar problems. By checking the Usenet. The end result for us was that we had to move our domain back to our old domain service at our expense. Prior to the transfer various e-amils and phone calls were made for a status report and no response was given. An e-mail has been sent to Mr. Beavers giving him an opportunity to refund our money and pay for damages resulting from his Companies actions. So far a reply has not beeen received. The company seems to be operating out of Costa Rica A safe haven for Internet Fraud. What a pathetic excuse for running a business. Bunch of f'n lazy-a$$es. Take $50 and run.

If you used Paypal to pay these freeloaders, use PayPal Scam Claim on them! Don't let them win! Call them, email them, flood them, whatever, just let them know you mean business! They scamed many people as it seems. Somebody needs to make an example of them. There are lots of other services out there and Yes, unless they pay me $100 somehow(Yes!! 200% money back) I will tell everyone to avoid them. Talk is cheap; silence is expensive!

I hosted my site with these guys for several months when I accidently ran over my bandwidth. I requested more which they provided after paying them $25 more. They then shut me down again and I've been down for 7 days. I call, email everyone and get nowhere. I have given up and have submitted a DNS transfer and they still won't budge. This company is based in Costa Rica. Good luck getting anything from them. I would not recommend this host.

It has got to the point now where I'm past caring what this company do with my domain name they registered for me.
I bought their hosting/domain registration package on the 17th June $49.95. The name was registered and an account setup the next day as promised on their web site.
What they neglect to tell you is that they don't bother sending you any information on how to access your account.
I have sent 2 support form requests, and emailed FreeHostingWeb directly, and as of now (2nd July) I haven't had one reply.

Shortly after posting this review, but before it was published, I emailed FreeHostingWebs sales team and got a very quick response. It appears that they had an incorrect email address.
Now that I'm up and running, I must admit that I'm very impressed with their service. Theres still a question over why I never got a response from support despite submitting two tickets on their web site, however overall I would like to upgrade my rating to 9. (Updated 15th July)

In response/revision to the previous post I made, I finally got that fixed, it turned out that I had an incorrect email entered in my registration which made it hard for them to email me. :( I still have some reservations about the speed of response, I emailed them several times from alternate emails as well before I called the webmaster at his number listed. No response, at least could have given me a response stating - We don't know you - or something. In retrospect, be sure to double check your information.

I am upgrading my response from a 1 to 7 for those that are starting to repsond to this.

I loved the features they offer, but if you have a problem there is no live person to turn to. It has been over a week since there welcome email and me uploading files, but the site still isn't up.

I have use freehostingweb.com for 3 months and I want to cancel, because their server 2 to 3 a week and I want to go with a different hosting. I call to transfer but They didn't transfer my domain to another host and now my domain down for almost 3 week, it will be 4 week and my domain name is suspended, I'm not happy about it. Their server down 2 or 3 time a week. I want to transfer my domain name with other host, It been 3 week already and my domain name didn't get transfer. domain name still down. I already posted a review last month and I wanted to add that after finally moving our site over to a great host (modwest.com), our domain name is still stuck at freehostingweb.com.
I first tried to change the DNS information but as usual no response. I then tried to transfer our domain to a different registrar, but because freehostingweb has registered our domain name with its name and e-mail address (which I had requested be changed a while back but of course never happened), the confirmation for transfer is sent to them and they are taking there good old time to respond it. At this point, I am just hoping that they will respond to it, so that my domain can get transferred and I can be done with this free lock-you-in hosting web.

Even though very attractive at first, this company does not live up to its promises. Here are a few of the problems I experienced with them:
1 - When I transferred my domain name, I was down for about a day. Something was not properly setup on their server. They ended up fixing it but never admitted to their fault.
2 - Site is regularly down. We have been noticing it at least every other day from 10 minutes to an hour.
3 - I have sent several notices that the shared SSL is not working starting 3 weeks ago. I am still waiting for an answer from them.

To summarize, I am really left with the feeling that they take your money up front and that once the 10 day period has elapsed, they stop worrying about you. In my eyes, that's just wrong and I therefore would not recommend it to anybody.

I am currently looking at options for switching.

I am learning the hard way that this group is not what they promise to be. In spite of the good design of their freehostingweb.net and their main page, still have not gotten my username or password from them even though they have set the domain up on the servers. I have emailed the corporate and support email 3 times now, as well as the webmaster at his apparent personal address which is available publicly if you want to find it. So far no response, I have given the ultimatum at this point...respond or I dispute with credit card company. I eagerly await their lack of response. On to hwy61.com, a far superior host if I can't get anywhere with this group.

I have mixted feelings about this company. What they offer is good and works well when the site is up but it seems to be down alot. i have two accounts with them. Their 24 hr tech support is non-existant however they do eventually respond to your needs 3 to 4 days later. At this point I would have to say use with caution

It seems that they really offer much. But they don't give anything. My site was there only for one evening, when everything worked fine and in the morning I noticed that my subdomains dissapeared from the server and my site disappeared from the Internet. I sent two emails and got no answer. I called the phone number I found on their site and there is nobody to help. I am just wondering now if they are going to give me the refund because I cancelled the acount (possible only per mail, not email or phone).
I would never again take the service which offers something for "free" after taking the lump sum of money. I would always consider it as a fraud, because of my bad experience with Freehostingweb.

Support took 8 days to reply to me concerning the expiration of my domain name. At that time I did not know I had 20 days after the expiration date. I just happened to transfer to this Host a couple of days before it expired. When he did respond, he said he cancelled & was returning my money as requested, when all I said was that if I did not receive a reply within the next day, I was renewing with someone else and enforcing the money back guarantee. Oh yes, he replied only after I sent him a copy of my email to their corporate HQ. 1st was to notify me he cancelled my account and 15 minutes later to explain he submitted it but it would not take so close to the expiration date. He did not even attempt to work it out. Unacceptable support process!
