Even though they had some trouble servicing customer service during their period of many upgrades, they've never scoffed me off and always been willing to help me through my problems. They even help me debug my scripts when there are errors I can't find, and never charge me extra for it.

OK, this is just my experience... perhaps others have not had problems, but I got an incompetant and rude response from their support. Got the distinct impression they didn't want to be bothered.

After having two DSL providers fold on me, I decided to host my site somewhere other than from home. I have been with ProHosting for over a year and find their service/offerings satisfactory, although I have no experience with other companies to compare. Their price seems a bit high compared to some of the others, but the problem-free service may be rationale for the premium price. Their initial Web based email was very amateurish, but they have upgraded the software twice in the last year and is now up to par.

I've really been amazed with ProHosting. They have imporved their editors ten fold, allowing site editing like no other I've seen. Phone calls are answered quickly, and problems are solved with that one phone call, any time night or day. Email might take a day or so, but I prefer phone calls for tech support anyway. Down time was minimal (every host gets a hickup) Had problems with the email service and lost some emails... Over all, they are a great host. Sure, you can find cheaper, but tech support is major issue for me...and I'll pay that extra for it.

In general this is a fine host. There are two big problems. The first is that it is used by spammers, and the host is apparently not willing to take steps to prevent spammers from signing up, so any email you send using Prohosting's SMTP stands a chance of never reaching its recipient, since it may be erased by the recipient's Isp's anti-spam scripts. Admittedly, this is usually due to domain-wide black hole anti spam enforcement, which is excessive, but Prohosting's customers suffer nevertheless from being unable to send email reliably. The second problem: I got my domain from them, and now I can only renew it from them - big mistake on my part, since they want $24.95 PER YEAR to renew your domain. This is price gouging and I'm leaving them because of it.

Their service has been great. They keep improving the features, etc. I have never had a down period, nor any problems related to their service.

I was surprised to see only one review here so felt I had to. Been using this host for almost 10 years with many web sites. Support is quick and easy to contact, features are great. Never used better.
