I've hosted three sites here, two of them without a hitch.
However for the third site, problems with phpwebhosting's DNS and subdomain system caused our site to be down for five days, until we moved it to a different site.
I should say that we were using external IP's for some of the subdomains, and that we were trying to alias a second domain there (essentially an alernate spelling of our primary domain) as well.
Customer service was polite and professional, but varied in quality. Sometimes it seemed they weren't really reading our questions, and they definitely didn't live up to their promise to fiv the problems.
The subdomain system is brand new to phpwebhosting, and I expect that it will work well when they work out the kinks.
I think sometimes in their rush to include new features they haven't tested the systems completely.
Often links on the control panel won't work, but the next day they will.
If you're just going to host one site at their location, and you don't want to do DNS or anything fancy, I would still recommend them -- they are an excellent value for the core package that they offer.
