I signed up with them when I first started out, and they were the cheapest deal. I knew nothing about web hosting so needed nothing. As my site grew, so did my needs. It's then I found that their pages - every single one on their entire site- take minutes to load, reload, and load. Just signing in, and going to the FAQ page takes 15 minutes.  They have an FTP Upload area that is useless because of this - every one thing you do reloads the entire page (jammed with ads and graphics).  Their tech support never answers the phone tho it is suposedly 24/7.  You get a recording telling you they're busy (at 3 am?) and after a 5 minute wait, are hung up on. ALWAYS. Ok, I thought, I can use an FTP program. No biggie. When I'd write for tech help, in 3-5-7 days I'd get some badly translated crap that didn't address my problem at all, and usually I was blamed for it.

I found out they got hacked in September and didn't tell anyone. During this time I couldn't get into my site, or mail or upload, being told my Password was wrong.  After a week, I finally got someone who said oh, your password's been changed and didn't even offer an apology. Since then I was buried in virus mails and spam, and I mean buried, daily. When I complained they told me to block the mails with my Eudora program - only you can't, so I had to make constant new email names to ditch the mail, but it'd find me.  When I complained about how slow their site was, after 3 weeks of stupid going-in-circles with them mail, they finally told me it was my ISP's fault. This was total bull .. I even sent them 9 different 'ping' reports from 9 people in the US who all showed how dismally slow they were.  When I did call my ISP out of desperation, it happened the tech guy ran a server site and told me addr ought to have controls on their servers to block all this virus mail, and they might even have one.  When I passed this on to addr they ignored me.  I finally canceled my account 2 months ago because of no tech support, not able to use the FTP, not able to get help, answers and being buried in mail which strangely has followed me to my personal email now, since I quit my account.  Addr takes your money, makes it impossible to use them and then keeps it when you are forced to leave.
