You can't really blame them for being one of the ones still standing.  I was formerly hosting a few sites with HostPro in Los Angeles.  When they got bought out by Interland, I was allowed to keep the sites on the HostPro equipment, which is nice, because everything is just fine there.  On my own volition, I moved one of my hosted sites over to the True Basic shared Linux product as a trial run.  As these sorts of things are prone to be, it was a major pain in the a**.  I can't really blame Interland entirely.  Once I got my main issue escalated past the typical zit faced peons on tier 1, tech support was reasonable.  They and I were never able to trace the lingering dns issue (name not resolving to ip address from west coast only) any more specifically than that it was most likely an internet router or server that was pointing wrong.  After about a week or two of constant dialog with them, spotty or non existant http access, and flakey domain email delivery, it sort of worked itself out.  Needless to say, I became gun shy about switching my other domains.  I also do not like the control panel layout and ease of use as much as the simpler Host Pro one (which was nothing to write home about).  I do like the web mail, although I have been looking around and other companies that I have been scoping seem to have equal functionality and slicker interfaces...
