I've been with Uptown Web Hosting (aka ViperAdult.com) for a couple of years. 3 days ago, my website went down and has been down ever since. I tried calling them the first day and it went to an answering machine for someone named "Steve," but I never received a call back. I then tried again the next day and by then, the calls were just being dropped as soon as the line was picked up. I received no notice of any known outages. There were no outage notifications on their voicemail. Nothing. Zip. Zilch. Needless to say, my site is now back up as of this evening with a DIFFERENT host which is actually also costing me half the price!
Oh, as an addendum, the president of Uptown (Jason) had promised me a refund a couple of months ago due to several days of downtime then. I never received that either. I'm sure I probably won't be getting a refund on the remaining 2 weeks of what I have left on my current month since their service has been down this time either.
