I attempted to place an order with webhostxl last month. Since then, they have not returned any of my numerous phone calls or emails wondering why I hadn't recieved any account information from them.
Stay away! This company is a waste of your time.

Constant downtime (I'd estimate on average 6 hours per week). Absolutely no response to help requests. I had cases opened and submitted emails to support and two months passed without ever getting an answer. When I tried to cancel my account they totally ignored my emails and the case I opened to have it closed - they continued to attempt to charge my credit card for months before my credit card company intervened. Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had with an online retailer (of any kind!). Avoid at all costs.

I can find absolutely no evidence that this company has any human beings there. It has even started to affect their own site. Support now gives javascript errors for the last week. Nobody answers the phone. The control panels for my sites havent' worked in a month. My site is running fine. But a new site I got set up is inaccessible and not operational. The standard setup emails come through, and the autoresponds, and the invoice, but I can find no evidence that a human being is there. It's like they were abducted and things are slowly cracking up. Servers can only do so much on their own for so long... do not sign up for a site there. You card will be billed, and will not be able to access it.

This company does not respond to any queries. I have tried for over a month to get in contact with somebody there and have had no luck.
Thier control panel does not work and the customer support web interface gives you an error when you try to use it.

The ability to have unlimited e-mail addresses and mySQL databases was very useful. Many hosting companies try and limit the amount of these items you are allowed.
I always recieved an email of any upcoming maintaince and possible outages.
There was always hard drive space available for use which is something I found lacking with other webhosting companies.
All technical support that I have used involved leaving a message on their automated system and the problem was resolved within 5 minutes. The only time I ever had to use it was to restart a process. All other technical problems were end user issues which I was able to resolve personally.
The only downside to this hosting company is that a few times there was too much load for the cpu but it has cleared up and this problem does not occur anymore.
The Cpanel and extra features they provide are useful and work flawlessly.
I recommend for any hosting company that you know how to do redirects yourself. Otherwise do not use them.

Despite they advertise that an account will be set up within 24 hours, it took 3 days for me to receive my username and password. However, even with the username and password, I cannot login my account, not to mention put up anything for my website. Basically, they have not set up a real account for me though they have received the payment. They haven't responded at all to my follow-up requests / enquiries. I've changed the webhoster then.

Due to personal reasons, I want my website closed, my account closed and my credit card to never be billed again. I have yet to receive a response to any email I have sent since becoming a customer. That is poor business! They were down for over 24 hrs just last month with no warning and no reason for that either! I wouldnt reccomend them to anyone.

I've used WebHostXL for four domains, all at the same IP. I pulled all of them. Why? I met with continuous down-time. All URLs were inoperable along with all email accounts. Just six weeks ago, not only were the domains "dead" for entirety of Sunday night, but WebHostXL itself (the URL) was "dead".

The service is a pretty good bargain, providing a good amount of space, bandwidth, and services for a low price. Service is very unreliable, with frequent outages lasting a day or longer. Support is virtually non-existent. They advertise toll-free telephone support .. but the number leads to voice mail and messages are never answered. They also provide "support" via email and a web helpdesk, but never provide respond to inquiries about system outages.

I paid for the Reseller Plan (1 Giga bytes type) in advance for 1 year in March. The server doesn't work just right now, since yesterday. Down time seems more than 10 hours. The same things (very long down time almost one day or two days) happened very often, both last week and last month too. Trouble tickets were erased and no response from the company. I can not use the hosting for any serious business website due to the instability. So, I had to remove all serious websites from the WebsiteXL. (The WebhostXL's company website is stable in contrast to the instability of the server for the customers.) I would like to see the uptime monitoring results of WebhostXL’s Reseller Plan at your website, because I already paid it for 1 year. I hope your website shows the monitoring results for preventing increasing of further victims, and also I hope the terrible service will change to better status. The service seems ok except above serious problems.

The plan webhostxl provide is pretty good. But support there is very poor. Support emails and support tickets often take three days or longer to get any reply, sometimes just no response at all (oh, sorry, you do receive the auto-reply immediately). They just ignore your questions! If you need little support, then I recommend you to try this hosting, but if you do care customer services, choose another one!
