Customer support is sketchy, but not terrible. Read the fine print, though. 99.999% uptime for the NETWORK. That doesn't mean your server. One server they had me on crashed completely. Within a day they had me on a new server. It goes down periodically for anywhere from a few minutes to an hour. Will be switching when my contract isup.

Everything goes well until you have a little special they stop answering you.  At the second you asked them something they ask you money(139$ per hour) to investigate and check something.  If you finally decide to pay this fee they stop answering too.  That's simply ridiculous.  There's no way to join them directly.

First of all, forget about gettnig anybody on the phone. There is nobody to answer the phone. I don't think they even employ an operator. Their 'automatic callback' feature would be great, if anybody called you back. But they don't.

Next, forget about a 'money-back guarantee'. They claim their money-back guarantee is qualified with a minimum usage term of one month. Host with them for one day, and that's a month. Whether you cancel in the first thirty days or not. My explanation of this policy is unclear, because the policy itself is unclear. Convoluted. Rubbish. Suffice it to say, there is no 30-day money back guarantee. They are lying.

Then, try talking to them by e-mail. They're not just unhelpful, they're actually snotty.

I'm amazed by these people.

This host is very deceptive in how they promote their wares. They advertise 65gb of transfer/month. Yet, in the very fine print of the Terms of Service, they mention nonchalantly, that if your site taxes the cpu of the server, it will be suspended...

Well logically, the unwary webhosting shopper would assume that their servers took into account the amount of hits and network traffic a site that commands 65gb of transfer a month... so you should be safe assuming you have a fairly normal site. Wrong!

After using 4.5 GB of transfer, on a very normal forum website, I was warned. The site began to lag horribly as they crammed more and more sites onto the same little server. Warning me that I was taxing their CPU. Well of course I was... if you cram 100 sites onto 1 little server box... 10 hits per hour is gonna crush it...

They advertise 65gb of transfer... I was suspended after using 7 over the course of 10 days... so average... 21gb for a month... not even close to the "supposed" cap of 65gb... You will never get to use even half of your bandwidth allowance. I strongly recommend not using this deceptive companies service. They tag you for setup fee's and more if you cancel within the 1st 30 days. About the cost of 6 months of service. This is how they make their money. By getting people to sign up thinking WOW, 65gb a month for $7.95.. wrong.. you'll get 10 days and pay them about $40! Then they scamper off to scam the next victim!

well their trouble tickets have been responded to promptly, but their control panel is so slow and unreliable and i can't really set up my entire site like that - ssh and telnet are much better and they don't provide it. 

I asked them to cancel their account and every phone number on their web page is busy - at 11 am on a thursday! i'm unhappy... hopefully they'll refund me, but i don't see it that they will. will post againif i get my refund...

They say that they are available 24x7 to serve you.  I have called every single phone number I can find on their webpage, and all I get is a voice mail system that hangs up on me in the end.  When I cal their 888 number, I almost always get a busy signal, and when I call the local number (long distance for me) I get that neat voice message that tells me they are routing me to the next open call center, then hangs up.  They also seem to be a bit slow more often than not when it comes to serving web pages.  I will definately find someplace else to go.

Simply - they will never answer the phone. Never. Disregard all the reviews that say people have eventually gottent thru.

In addition, I have tried to get my site to another server, because in spite of all they say, they do have faster and slower servers. They will move me - for $39.95!

I am so mad about the time I've spent trying to get $190 (nearly $400 if you count the unfulfilled/unused service) back these folks have robbed off my credit card. I was never able to set up my account in the first place because of their poor service and customer service. And my vain pursuit of the money they owe me finally led me to the Better Business Bureau, where I discovered there were 71 complaints filed against them. But in the end, the BBB failed to get a response from them and said they were "closing the file." But my unanswered complaint (and others presumably) will become part of the information the BBB reports to the public on the company for the next three years.

I was referred to GISOL from a friend and I have been a customer for almost four months now and I have to say that with the exception of the hard to reach customer service, I have had no major problems with them at all.

My account set up was easy and super fast, my domain was up and running in less than 24 hours and I had no problems what so ever in getting my site and database up and running. Any down time they have had (3 since I have been with them) was addressed and taken care of very quickly and always within the ETA they indicated in their Network Status, which they always keep update with any network and server service interruptions.

I rate this host's value based on its offerings and cost a 9 because for what they offer, you just can't beat the price.

I rate this host's technical quality an 8 because, as with any web host, there is always room for improvement in this area but overall I have not had any negative issues with this.

I rate this host's customer service a 5 because I do have to agree that they are lacking in this area. I think that they over-rate themselves in that area BUT I also have to say that any time that I have had to contact their technical support, via the online support ticketing agent, my quieries have been responded to in a reasonable amount of time and they have been very helpful.

So for my experience with them, I give them and overall rating of an 8 out of 10.

They have a SCAM going on. First of all, 2 months after I have cancelled my account with them, they have posted charges to my credit card. I had to cancel the card in order to stop them. They never responded to my cancellation e-mail (they respond to your e-mails only when they feel like it) so I sent them a certified cancellation letter, a letter which they have accepted and signed, so they cannot deny.
Since everything about them was already told here, I find necessary to tell you that I live only 45 minutes from them, and I am suing them. In addition, I filed a complaint with the national BBB and local BBB, and the city attorney is next.. If you want to sue them too, send me contact me at the above e-mail, so I can get a power of attorney from you for small claims court. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

During the short period of time I have had an account with Global Internet Solutions (3 months); my web page has been unavailable several times. To make matters worse, I have tried to reach the “24x7" free technical support” and only once out of MANY MANY times have I managed to speak to one of the service agents. The line is continuously busy, or when I do get through after listening to a promotional message, I am disconnected. I certainly do not consider this to be “outstanding services and customer support”.

While to be fair, I understand that sometimes there might be some amount of server down time, however I am confident that the down time I have seen does not meet the “guarantee network uptime of 99.9%”. In fact, I would venture to say that is it more around 80%.

I am being “served” in a manner that is completely unworthy their advertising and unworthy of their sales program. I cannot express enough my dissatisfaction with both the customer service as well as your technical support.

I as write this letter, I'm researching hosting companies to host my web page.

The telltale sign should have been when I noticed that their "Seasonal Special" end date changes to coincide with the current date.

I changed from PHPWebHosting to GISOL only two weeks ago - mostly because they touted their "Award Winning" customer service and 24/7 support but also because the price seemed to be very reasonable.  In the many pre-sales emails that I sent asking questions, I got nearly immediate responses from a courteous company representative. I signed up for the "Start-Up" account and prepaid for the entire year (3 months added on for free!). However, after moving my site(s) to the new host I experienced severe response time problems and several failed MySQL processes.  I requested information about the server loads and why my sites suddenly seemed to be extremely slow.  They said that possible "rogue" accounts were the culprit and that serverload statistics were not available to their customers.

This afternoon, they suspended my account - bringing to a halt my website(s) and all of my email.  I began calling the 1-888 customer support number at 4:45 PM CST and continued to receive a busy signal until 7:00 PM when I fianlly gave up.  During this time, I also submitted THREE "Trouble Tickets" requesting information about the reson behind my suspended account.  Nearly two hours later I received my first response - "He's running a lot of slow SQL queries for such a small table, and MySQL is eating up a lot of CPU time. See /var/lib/mysql/server945-slow.log".  These exact same sites with the exact same queries have been on 2 prior webhosts with not a single complaint - but suddenly my PHPNuke sites were server hogs? GIVE ME A BREAK!!! They offer MySQL as a free service - how can they complain when people use it? Who is the moron that setup the MySQL on this box becuase this thing has been garbage since the day I got up and running!

It is now 6 hours after I discovered that my sites and all of my email were non-functional.  And yes, I had to discover it, they did not send me any notice at all.  Nothing is working - I have requested that the restore my access to the FTP and databases so that I may pull my latest information and files - I have yet to receive a response.

Do NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They are UNRELIABLE, UNREPSONSIVE and a COMPLETE RIPOFF!

My partner & I had this site for only 5 days before they began suspending our host due to excessive CPU usage. We have the 600MB disk space & 65GB data transfer ($14.95 monthly) service. They claim that our forum bulletin is causing the problem, which is the only thing we're running on their server. They suspend your services without warning, nor notification. Their online tech support is the worst I've seen/experienced during my 5yrs as a Webmaster. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!

This is worse than some of the free hosts! They do not live up to their claims. They do not make weekly backups, they use a second drive on the same machine, and we all know when one drive fails it often nails the other one too.
The machine I was stuck on (server 855) was the lemon of the bunch, it was down at least once a month for at least 8 hours at a time. Just recently it finally died, and the backup was over one month old. 80+ hours worth of work, gone, and trying to back up the SQL databases did not work as they just wound up corrupted. My custom invisionboard skins, gone. My PHP webmail and image hosting scripts that I customized, gone. Hundreds of photos, gone. I was in the middle of backing everything up by FTP at the time they went down, since the Cpanel backup is warped. Service is very tightlipped and changes their story at the last minute.
Guess what, their tarball backup from CPanel does not work properly. Download twice in a row and watch the file size change like magic...tons of corrupted files this way. .Htaccess files get messed up mysteriously as well, their version of Cpanel is sh*t and with no shell access it isn't worth trying.
Don't be fooled by the low prices, this is Amateur Night all the way. DNS took over a week and a half, which is not normal as anyone can tell you. After they finally pointed the DNS, they were up one day and then were down for three!
Going to try to get a refund, because this is not worth it one bit. Don't wanna refund me? Then see you in court, idiots! I will make their life a living hell if I don't get my money back...yet another cheap budget host run by lamers and crooks.

When they go down there's no status on their site and the automatic phone support dumps your call after some marketing giberish. Email support is verrry slow and gives no real support.

Account set up was slow.  Things worked well for a while, then came the frequent, unannounced outages.  The 24/7 support is a fraud! Just try calling during off-peak hours and you get a recording telling you to use the proper channels and then hangs up.  Major POP3 issues.  Just AVOID this company.  The price isn't worth losing hundreds dollars in sales and ruining your business relationships because these folks aren't clever enough to keep the servers working (if indeed they even have their own servers).  Still not convinced? HORRIBLE.  They are down so frequently that Google is unable to cache my updated pages and I get dropped from Google's engine monthly.  Will NOT return phone calls and seldom return e-mails.  Took too long to set-up my site to process credit card transactions, then DID NOT NOTIFY ME they had completed it.  Their Quicksitemaker program does not have enough character space in the pull-down menus and they have yet to fix the problem.  This company clearly has more going on than they can handle.

Wost hosting I've ever seen.  You cannot talk to anyone (the 24/7 thing they advertise is bull.) They don't realy read the support tickets and then take days or weeks to get back to you with the wrong answer.  Do not use this company!

I've had GISOl host my site for close to a year and haven't really had any problems.  Granted you can not talk to a live person on the phone but the ticketing system works and I usually have a response and solution in a hour or two.

The only problems I've had were recent with MySQL server being down. 

One thing that does stick in my craw is the fact that they added somethings in the plan I use (start-up) and when I asked about them they said I signed up under the prior package and I could only upgrade with a $20 one time fee.  That seems a bit Chickens**t to me.

Their Up time must be about 75%. The support team answers when they want if the want to.

For the past 6 months, their servers have been down almost a week. That is just unacceptable.

Look elsewhere. The offer a lot for too little. If they were efficient, this company would be the best.

I was hired by my client to redesign thier website and create an estore. Well after hours of development and downtime, they relocated thier servers and didnt move any of the content.

Stay away from these guys, they are a tiny company with no actual support. The servers are not thiers, they are a small reseller. My research is on-going and I will be posting the owners name for everyone to have to issue complaints.

I have dealt with several different hosters before and GISOL is by far the absolute worst.  Their customer service is really what it is, besides the fact that they can't seem to keep their equipment running...they have no uptime guarantees an act like they don't want your business.  I have spoken to a domain name registar that says GISOL has had this problem for some time. They have had many unhappy customers.  The BBB is familiar with them as well...stay away...far away from them.  No good can come of it.

I switched from readyhosting after a year because of Slooooowwwww connections provided by them. I did a ping test and my site was reached at a much faster speed. Gisol offers a lot or serviced for their price. I've used their support ticket once and got a response in 15 minutes. Gisol uses Redhat servers and as such you are limited to Mysql and PHP.
There has yet to be a perfect host but gisol has satisfied my needs

Just one word for this host SUCKS!!!
Can't put it any plainer than that. As with the other above, STAY AWAY. I truley believe they are not a big business but some punk kid trying to make a buck reselling web hosting. They never answer the phone, never return your calls, and DOWNTIME occurs daily. Sometimes from 1-6 hours a day. Their Support tickets are never answered. VERY BIG STAY AWAY!!!!!

This site engages in false advertising practices. They have an ad running at FindYourHosting.com and it clearly states in two places that you can get 90 days free and 500 meg for $7.95. If you go to their order page the offer is not listed their and when I emailed them they refused to extend to me the option to purchase the advertised package.

Thank heavens I signed up only for month by month hosting with this outfit. I am terribly disappointed with their lack of technical support. My listsevers went down two days ago and I have gotten utterly no response from tech support at all. I'm moving!

This has to be the worst Host in the business. The claim they have 24 hour support. WRONG!!!!!!! I have been trying to contact them for 4 days now. No answer, no call backs, no service at all. I would highly reccomened you stay as far away from these cons artist as you can. I have only been with them for a few months and they SUCK. Tried for the Refund, well that is not an option, I am either stuck with them for a year, or I will move my site and just lose the money I paid. I am so disappointed I will probably move the site anyway and the hell with the money. I would probably save money in the end because of all the long distance phone calls. Oh they have an 800 number, WRONG!!!! they have one listed but no one ever answers the phone at that number, not even that irratating voice on the voice mail system.
BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!! Stay AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

These people are thieves. Before you waste your money, do a web search on either "GISOL" or "Global Internet Solutions" and you'll see the truth. Also check out the California Better Business Bureau of their area and read their dismal rating. Avoid them!
